Objective-based and competency-based teaching-learning models may reflect some differences from design to implementation, an objective commonly seeks the achievement of skills and knowledge, but a competition seeks to develop a set of knowledge, skills, values and skills that allow the student to perform in a given situation. Even for the competency-based model, some active learning strategies such as challenge-based learning can be used.
