Making Bank Deposits

Paying attention to the cash you collect and how you secure it is an essential aspect of completing the payment cycle.  When you are ready to make the bank deposit you should follow the policies and procedures of your organization very closely.

• Secure your deposit in whatever bagging system you use to transport to the bank

• Based off of your company's procedures you will go to the bank preferably with a co-worker for your own safety while carrying around company funds

• There should always be 2 people that go to your company's bank most times you will have to use someone's car so you should determine who's vehicle you will be riding in before leaving your establishment

• Depending on your business you will either have to go into the bank, go through the drive-thru and deal with a teller or use the night deposit box to deposit your funds

• No matter which way your company handles it at some point you should get receipts so if you do not deal with a teller directly at least once a week you should pick up your deposit slips for your records
