We provide business development support, including support linkages between local government and local people with businesses and marketers for products. For example, training, support, knowledge, and capital will be provided for poor women and children who produce and sell handicrafts and are struggling in economic development
An expert group will conduct interviews to establish interest groups based on interest and community needs such as : Livestock: buffalo, horses, goats, pigs, poultry, crops, rice, corn, fruit trees, food crops, traditional crafts, etc...
Currently, people raising local varieties through traditional breeding methods obtaining a low value. A buffalo get sold at a very low weight, and pigs are often raised in a period of two years and weigh only 20-30 kg. With good breeding and caring methods, rearing pigs over a period of four months can weigh up to 80-100 kg. For this reason, we organize technical training courses on animal husbandry, veterinary care and to introduce suitable breeds to bring economic efficiency to the people.
Similarly with livestock, people are currently growing local crops with low productivity, low disease resilience, low diversity, and are less and less adapted to the situation of climate change today. Therefore, we will study and research about new varieties suitable to local conditions and provide training for technical support to increase people awareness and support people in applying the techniques on farming in order to increase productivity and services to help people create a stable income and food.
Our team will provide training and technical support for the production of traditional crafts for about 25 people, in addition of hiring a designer to help create the design in accordance with current market demand. After completing the training course (about three months), the 25 participants who attended the training are expected to begin production of these crafts, which will be sold in souvenir shops and boutiques. The project will support the marketing of many products. Revenue from sales will be used to pay workers, buy materials, produce more, and cover store rental costs.
The training aims to promote business development for poor women who want to start or have been involved in small business. To improve the sustainability of the project, training people about farming techniques, production of traditional crafts, and business skills are essential. After the project ends, beneficiaries can learn about financial management and marketing for their products. A consultant team will develop and conduct several training courses including: Gender and Business, SIYB and business groups. The training is unique in that it highlights the necessary business skills from a gendered perspective and is applicable for individuals, families or business groups just starting. It meets real world needs and provides strategies for low-income women in business.
After training, poor women will be selected from the project to be given loans that they can use to invest in business activities such as investment in breeding, cultivation, and purchase materials for the production of traditional products. Loans will be amortized and after the beneficiaries finish paying off the capital, the loan will be transferred to other poor borrowers... Please, contact us for more detailled information regarding our microfinance services.
Our team will create multi-dimensional relationships, where poor women not only have access to micro-credit products but the production activities also create intimate between the community and project investors. Our goal is to create relationships with projects related to public health and sanitation at rural development sites so that families can ensure that they have enough health to pursue business and have a sustainable livelihood.
We will strive together with the local community to ensure that all children can benefit from the project. If there are cases where students had dropout from school, we will find ways to bring children back to school. For the women and men in the locality who have never been to class and are now illiterate, we will do the necessary to help people improve their skills and more easily access scientific and technical knowledge and apply it to everyday life.
Although food provides important nutrients for life, especially for children, food may be neglected if a woman is too busy. Furthermore, a reasonable plan for economic resources is establish to invest in hygiene and prevent diseases. We will address this issue by integrating nutrition into training to help people understand about family meals and ensuring a good diet for healthcare, especially for children.
The rural environment directly and indirectly influences health and the production activities of the community business. In many cases, environmental issues are ignored by humans. The production activities of daily business cause many major environmental consequences. We combine efforts with the local government and community to limit environmental degradation and enforce environmental protection so that our rivers are clean and beautiful. This starts with small acts such as washing hands, frequent filters or boiling water before drinking. Furthermore, littering is prevent to keep the locality clean and to attract tourists. Therefore, our efforts are helping all families to improve the health and living conditions of the community. We will combine efforts with locals in developing agriculture and creating rural development strategies appropriate for green growth to help cope with climate change.
People in Cat Cat have very good English and can understand the road, customs and other tourist attractions in the locality. To take advantage of this skill, we will train a group of about ten women to improve their local guide for tourists skills. It will allow them to secure a stable income source compared to the income they received as street vendors. Our plan to train women as professional guides is how we will help local people benefit from Cat Cat tourist potential.
In addition to what we described above, one of the activities for tourists includes exploring and enjoying traditional dishes of the local population. Therefore, we will provide training about the technical processes, food sanitation, and hygiene to serve tourists. People will be able to sell products from agricultural activities such as rice, chicken, vegetables, etc. for tourists, allowing them to have a stable market for their agricultural products and cooking operations. Ten families will be trained and rotated to cook for tourists. This method allows people to increase their income using tourism that they may not have previously accessed.
According to a recent survey, tourists enjoy home stay services more and more compared to the hotels. Foreign tourists love them to explore the activities, traditions, and lifestyle of indigenous people. Therefore, the demand for home stays will remain very high. To be able to provide this service, housing and toilet facilities must meet a specific condition. This part of the project will support partial funding and provide advice to help people upgrade housing and sanitation to meet this demand.
After deducting the cost of the tour including travel and accommodation for tourists, the remaining amount will be drawn to provide loans for poor locals so that they have more capital for business development and job creation, income growth, and improved living conditions for people. Our goal is that after each tour, at least one household will benefit from this service.
